Bigpoint announced the open beta launch for Merc Elite in Europe. The world’s first military-themed MOBA game (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) is set to hit the market in the fall of 2013 as a free-to-play browser title.

Merc Elite is the world’s first military-themed MOBA browser game, and a Bigpoint in-house production. Using the Unity Engine, over 40 developers have been working hard for 24 months on Merc Elite, which is set for full launch in late 2013. In addition to targeting classic MOBA and action-game fans, Merc Elite will also be actively pursuing eSports aficionados.

Due to the clever matchmaking system and intuitive controls, Merc Elite has something for both experienced MOBA players and those new the genre, while impressing with unique depth, atmosphere and versatility contained in each and every character.
