Dutch app developer Buro DOKO today announced that the studio’s first game, GuessMe, is now available for free download in the App Store. GuessMe is an interactive two-player “20 Questions” style game, where each player must hide information from the other and take turns to ask “yes” or “no” questions. The player who guesses the correct answer first wins, but be careful because every player has a host of different cheats and characters with special abilities to throw opponents off the scent.
“GuessMe is reminiscent of the old TV game shows from the 70’s and 80’s that we all love so much”, said Koen Middeldorp, Co-Founder of Buro DOKO. “We wanted our first mobile app to offer a great way for players to interact with other players in casual, light-hearted online gameplay”.
About GuessMe
“Is it a woman?” “Does she wear glasses?”
By asking smart questions players can discover who amongst their opponent’s group of characters the opponent wants to keep hidden. Like classic “20 Questions” with a fun interactive twist and a bit of humor, GuessMe challenges gamers’ powers of deduction in a quirky, competitive multiplayer format. Surprising, sometimes familiar, characters pop up randomly and can be purchased in-app or earned through regular play. The rules for GuessMe are basic, but each player has a selection of special “cheats” that they can deploy, including Agent Dick, Yeti, Timmy and Merlin, to swiftly gain the upper hand in the game. In GuessMe gamers can challenge their Facebook friends or be automatically paired up with a random player so that the fun never stops! GuessMe appeals to an international audience, with localization into: Dutch, English, German, Swedish, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Turkish.
